Happy 'Presents' Day

SUP with friends down at the Lagoon. Perfect day.
This morning I was telling McKay that today was a special holiday, President's Day.
M-K: "Presents Day?! For Muck-a-kay?!"
Me: Laughing, of course, "No, not presents day, Pres-i-dents Day"
M-K: "Presents Day! What we gonna get Mommy?!"
Gotta admit, 'presents day' does sound waaay cooler. I like it, we'll just roll with it. So, happy Presents Day all!

Ashton 7 Months

My little Ashton love. I love the way that you always cuddle up to me. I love the sweet, bashful looks that you give me. I love that cute little dimple that you get, just above your left lip, when you smile.  I love your loopy giggles when you are tired. I love your easy-going, mellow personality. I love your sweet, innocent eyes and your chunky, little legs. I love that you are mine and I am yours. Love you forever, my little buppet.

Let's Go Fly...

..a kite! Santa surprised McKay with this really cool kite for Christmas. Since then, McKay's been telling us that it's really windy outside...so that we might go fly his new kite. Let me tell ya, this kite requires some good wind. I think I've burned quite a few calories running this thing back and forth, trying to get it up. But Daddy's are the best at this kind of stuff, and Jeff finally got it up after some perseverance. McKay was one happy boy flying that kite. Loved my perfect family day at the beach, with my 3 boys.

Wind

McKay tooted and then looked at me with the most serious face and said, "There's wind in my body, mommy." I've never laughed so hard in my life. I'm still laughing. That just took the expression 'breaking wind' to a whole other level. Ha.ha. Funny, funny boy.

Christmas Morning

My little stud
I am obsessed with these beanie pics. So cute, I can hardly stand it.

Thomas pirate ship from Ya-ya.

Dinner with the Yates gang.

I love Christmas. Who doesn't. This year there was definitely some added craziness in attempt for a perfect Christmas. With sickness, eye twitching for weeks..random.., and more than the usual crankiness. However, all of that seemed to melt away as Christmas day finally arrived. We had so much fun watching McKay, completely mesmerized and more aware of what Christmas..let's be honest, Santa..is all about. We also got to attend our church Christmas program, since Christmas day fell on a Sunday. What a great way to start the day by feeling the spirit and adding to the celebration of our Savior's birth. Spending the day as a family, with family, always the cherry on top. Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!
