We Escaped!

We finally managed to escape the house! Three weeks later, besides the few short trips here and there, McKay had his first real outing...and what better place to go than the beach?! He was perfectly content just lounging...not to mention I finally felt like a human again ;) Ah, life doesn't get much better than a beautiful, sunny day at the beach!

On our own. My Mom was so very wonderful to come down and help out with McKay for the first 2 weeks...what a life savor! She cleaned my house, did my laundry, she even made my bed for me!...the list goes on. We love you and miss you so very much! ...my bed has yet to be made since you left ;) Thank you Grandma!

I know it may sound cliche but I couldn't possibly love anything more! The labor & delivery was a bit crazy...we checked into the hospital at 11:05 am and little guy came out at 11:12am. Barely made it! I was pretty convinced that he was going to make the big entrance in our car...what a ride! McKay's giving mommy the "initiation" into parenthood...had a few scares, sleepless nights, & learning curves but couldn't love him more!

Happy Five!

Time does fly when you're having fun! I can't believe that it's already been 5 great years together! We've done so much, accomplished so many things, and only have more good times ahead of us! I am so happy to have such a wonderful husband, best friend, and eternal companion at my side. Thanks honey for all that you do and for always keeping me laughing! xoxo

Keys!

It's official! Today we closed on our new home/townhouse! We are SO excited and can't wait to settle in! Before we migrate completely, Jeff and I will be painting and having our wood flooring installed. The plan is to be completely in after the 4th of July weekend...YAY! Can't wait! We have an extra room so come VISIT us!...more pics to follow.

Baby Shower 6.14.08

Wow! Thank you Jodie & Carolyn for putting together such a fabulous shower! & thank you to everyone for coming out from near and far to celebrate McKay with me! It was absolutely perfect! I am so lucky to have so many amazing people in my life! The count down is on....6 wks to go!

Spring is my most favorite time of the year. Everything is in bloom, the sun is shining, and I must include that I always love the new spring fashions that arrive! The flower field pics above are in Carlsbad...how lucky am I to live in such a beautiful place!?!

Wednesday morning we had the big us and found out that we are having a boy! We are SO excited! I can't wait to meet the little guy.

I love this man...

Words cannot express the astounding life led by this admirable and beloved man. Having grown up with President Hinckley as the prophet for much of my life, I will honestly and truly miss him so much!....especially that little wave of his cane! I am so grateful for the counsel, guidance, humor and amazing work that President Hinckley devoted and gave of himself to the very end. Although it is so hard to say goodbye, what a sweet reunion for President Hinckley and his cute wife, Marjorie! President Hinckley, you will truly be loved and remembered for all eternity!

Curtis Siaosi...so cute!


Ok so Jeff has been on me to post some pics of Lyoto Machida, a UFC fighter from Brazil. Jeff was able to see Lyoto’s last fight in Vegas. I've never particulary been one for UFC fighting...or any other fighting for that matter....but it's pretty amazing when you actually know the guy in the ring!
Between party hopping, we were also able to bring in the New Year with the Siaosi’s, Lyoto, the Brazilian crew, and other good friends! I am grateful to have been in such good company!
