So, it's a been a while...remeber me? I decided to take a break from the blogging world, I've been busy. Then I felt I had so many thnigs to post, I became overwhelmed...and stopped posting all together. My bad. So, to all of my faithful readers (aka Mom), I am working on a few updates..finally! Like I said, we've been pretty busy around here, busy having FUN! Oh how I love the summer, is it really over? It went by so fast. Anyhow, here's the first of many catch-up posts to come! A Girl Can Dream, Can't She?

Ah, (sigh). If only I could rummage through my closet to find these beautiful, pretty things. Oh, so pretty (sigh). Lately I have been dreaming of going on a big shopping spree to freshen up my boring, old wardrobe in dyer need of an update. If only my budget would allow me to run away with you, JCrew (just one more time, sigh). I know we're in a recession and all, but a girl can still dream, can't she?

My Number ONE!

McKay turned one on July 18th! We had a small get-together with family and just a few friends to celebrate his special day. I cannot believe how big my little man has gotten, and has it really been a whole year!?! McKay, It seems like just yesterday that I held you in my arms for the first time. You have brought me and continue to bring me more joy than I had ever fathomed possible. My heart absolutely melts at every smile that you make, especially those for me only. I couldn't possibly go on without your silly giggles. I utterly adore it when your little arms reach out for mine. Whatever did we do before you came into our lives? Our little family is truly blessed, and our lives infinitely enriched, because of you. McKay, you are my #1. Love you forever, Mom.

Sea World

My Mom and little brother came to visit us for McKay's first birthday! We had so much fun together while they were here. Here we are at Sea World. I love that McKay is finally at an age where he can enjoy so many more things. And, for me, being able to experience enjoying him, enjoying things, makes it that much more enjoyable!..ha, that was a mouthful! ;)

They shot up thousands of these fluttering, paper butterflies everywhere. It was my favorite. Loved it.

During the song, "Yellow", about a hundred giant, yellow balloons were tossed into and all about the crowd.

I am a HUGE fan of Coldplay. Most definately one of my favorite bands of all time. So, for my Valentines/Anniversary present, I was ecstatic when Jeff surprised me with tickets to see them in concert. I didn't think it was even possible to become an even bigger fan than I already was. It is. Best date ever! So in celebration of our Anni, kid-free (thanks Mom!), Jeff got off work early and we headed down to La Jolla, UTC. After browsing around Nordstroms for a bit (we had some time to kill, and it is after all another one of my favorites), we dined at the ever so delightful, Melting Pot. Sooo good. We had never been, and I've always wanted to try it. A little pricey, but not disappointing! Worth experiencing at least once in your life. So, after being completely stuffed, we headed down to the concert. A-MAZING. By far, the BEST concert EVER! Fun, clean, age-appropriate (or in other words, free from screaming, crazed 12 year olds) and chalk-full of pure entertainment. Chris Martin is so amazingly talented and sounds just as great live, if not better. Like I said, best date ever, best concert ever! Now, if only I could see them in London...maybe someday. ;)
