I Am 1/2 Years Old

I can't believe 1/2 of a year has flown past and my little boy is already 6 months old! It is crazy! I absolutely love this stage right now, McKay is learning so much and doing so many fun and exciting things. He loves his hands and feet, playing with his toys, "peek-aboo" games, rolling over, eating new foods (unless they are green), and...my most favorite...deep-hearted giggles. He definately has me wrapped around his little fingers!

It's not a party until the cops show up...right?...

(this next one is my favorite photo of the night...)

For New Years Eve, a couple of the girls and I put together a last minute party at our community clubhouse. We had good food, Wii, Rock Band, games, a bouncy house for the kids-which Jeff and I inherited (thanks Jodie-it's THE greatest!), Martinelli's, and most importantly-lots of good company. All was splendid until the clubhouse alarm informed us of it's closing hour at 10:30pm, an hour and a half before the main event was to take place. After the local police crew showed up, some officer bribery, and an attempt to muffle the alarm with a baby blanket, we moved the party to the next destination and continued in our celebrations. Cheers to 2009!

Christmas In AZ

Christmas!

Presents!

Daddy & McKay

Mommy & McKay

Christmas morning.

Traditional "Christmas Poppers": Uncle Britt & McKay playing with their prize.

Organ Stop Pizza. Btw how many of you AZians have been here? This organ is unbelievable-it controls everything from lights to bubbles and props galore. It was crazy-point up for AZ. Can't wait to take McKay back when he's older.

McKay played "Baby Jesus" in our Nativity Play.

The Nativity: "Mary" and "Baby Jesus".

This year we spent Christmas with my family in AZ. Games, cinnamon bears, "around the world" ping-pong, shopping, movies, the nativity play, my Mom's candied yams (yum!) and just hanging out-we had some good times. If only it could have lasted longer! Miss you and love you guys! and thank you EVERYONE for making it a GREAT Christmas!

Sparkly Blues

Even with a face covered in prunes, I can't get over those big blues...melt my heart every time!

Another Ordinary Day

Ok, so I know Thanksgiving has come and gone; but, how ungrateful would I be if I didn't dedicate a post for a few of the many things that I am so very thankful for? This year I have been so ridiculously blessed I feel as though I have everything that I could ever want, need, wish for and more. Besides, we shouldn't rely on one specific date just to think of all of the blessings that we have in our lives. So, in honor of just another ordinary day, not just Thanksgiving Day, here goes...

I am thankful for...

1. The long-waited, new arrival, my little bundle of joy!
For a healthy baby boy. A quick delivery...painful, but quick. To an end of pregnancy, for now...and a while (sorry to the preggo women out there). To the many adventures to look forward to.

My two handsome and adorable boys!
The two loves of my life, my "ikigai", or "that which makes one's life worth living".

Smiles and giggles!
Priceless. The best.

The Savior, the gospel in my life.
Guidance. Joy. Peace. Comfort. Eternal families. A testimony.

A beautiful new home!
Need I say more?

Family, friends and grandmas!
Love. Support. Good times. Babysitters ;)

Beauty.
The beautiful place in which I live. Going to the beach in November. Palm trees. Beaches. Sunshine. Flowers. Green. Going on walks.

...just to name a select few.

THOUGH IT'S REALLY NOT JUST ANY ORDINARY DAY...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF!!!

You are my best friend, my love, my eternal companion. I love your positive attitude and genuine heart. Your ability to make me laugh, whatever the circumstance. Your desire to do what is right. Your ambition and hard work. Your cute little dimple when you smile. Your fun-loving spirit. The amazing father and husband that you are. I love you for being you and all that you do. Happy Birthday babe! Love you forever!

Oh yeah, check him out!

24 Fans...

So, we are a little obsessed with the TV series, 24. Anyone else? If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend that you rent the DVD's...which, btw, are even better since you can watch 3 or 4 episodes in one setting..watch out, it is dangerously addictive...(I know, pathetic). But, it is A-MAZING! The prequel airs this Sunday, can't wait Jack Bauer!

Happy Halloweeny

Halloween day I was listening to Ryan Seacrest on the radio talking about thoughts on age limit for Trick-or-Treating. As the "How old is too old?" question was discussed, I thought, "So how young is too young?". I decided 3 months made the dead line ;)
