Doesn't this quote make you feel all warm & fuzzy inside!?! Ok, so I'm a cheeseball...& I'm ok with that! :) I pass by this "life's rad" sign all of the time and it always brightens my day. So, I thought I'd share. Have a great weekend!

So True!

Easter
Our little fam.
Princess Brooke.
On the prawl.
Do I eat it?
Kickin back.
Yum, dessert!
Easter is one of my favorite holidays. Sunshine, blooming flowers, reflections of our Savior, friends and family...peeps. This year we went to the Cremers for their traditional, delicious tacos and annual Easter egg hunt. The rule of thumb is that you can hunt up until you have children yourself, meaning this year was the first that Jeff and I didn't get to participate...a very sad and disheartening day for Jeff. ;) However, we did get to take McKay around, which was even better! Let me just explain to you that this is no ordinary Easter egg hunt. There are approximately 85 eggs hidden on the property and inside each egg does not contain just your average jelly bean. Let's just say the winner, my nephew, Parker, made out like a bandit with $40+ dollars! This year we were, or I was rather, a little more preoccupied with the camera. We finished off the event with yummy angel food cake, strawberries and whip cream-my all time fav! Thanks Cremers for the great time and great company! Oh, and watch out Parker, I'm sure McKay will give you a run for your money...literally...in the years to come!
Trip to UT

In March McKay and I got to take a trip up to UT to see Grandma, or "Gigi" as we say for Great Grandma. Gigi was in the hospital recovering from her heart surgery. It was so good to see her and spend some time with her. I hold this lady very dear to my heart and I sure do miss her. My family also drove up from AZ so it was always so fun and great to see them as well! Unfortunately, the one thing I forgot to take was my camera! Ugh!..still a little upset about that one; but, we at least were able to get some pics at Trav & Shar's with their camera...thanks Shar! You're a life savor!

Little Monkey

At the park.
Sitting up so very well.
I thought it would be funny to stick him in his cradle...for some reason he thought it was even funnier. He was cracking up, it was so cute!
Loves the swings.
This age is my absolute favorite! Although it does seems like I keep saying this with each and every month. McKay loves to twiddle his thumbs, blow rasberries, sit up, jump in his jumper, "talk"..or squeal.., and loves to flirt. He loves to eat anything mommy eats and grab anything mommy is holding...and eat that too of course! He also likes to sneeze, yes, sneeze...he thinks it's so funny, he laughs every time! Mode of transportation: still rolling..but with more distance! He sorta rocks back and forth on his hands and knees, so we'll see how long it takes for him to figure out the full-fledged crawl. He just keeps getting more and more fun! Such a good boy. I love it!

More pics...
This last picture McKay had been playing and I turned around to find him with this block stuck on his leg. Somehow he had managed to get it there himself. It made me laugh so I decided to take a picture. It did seem to help him out with his balance, plus it was like he had a new built-in toy. Hmmm...maybe I'll start sticking these things on him more often.

Looking Up.

It's the pitts. The flu. I hate it. I despise it. I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. I thought I had eluded this darn bug after Jeff had gone through the motions...nope, it sure found me. Brutal. I can't remember the last time I've been so sick, it's been years. But, in the midst of all of this sickness, it got me thinking...and made me realize how amazing it is to be healthy. It's so easy to take our bodies and good health for granted. Even just our daily grind. I wanted nothing more than to hold my little guy, take care of him, play with him. Clean the house, sure. Laundry, fabulous. Dirty diaper, no problem. Cook, love to! Anything, everything but that darn flu. At the tail end of this thing, things are looking up! Life is good. I have the best job in the world. May you all be healthy and stay flu-free!
...oh, and so thankful McKay got his flu shot!

My Handsome.

I am almost positive that he grew an inch over the last week. As in ONE week. How does this happen? My little man, getting so big? Current all time favorite-loopy time. It's usually around 5 o'clock when loopy man makes the biggest appearance-starts to get a little tired and all of those deep giggles let loose. I heart it! Can never get enough.

Thinking About a Dog?
After watching this video, I am seriously considering a dog...well, ok maybe not really...but, if you have a toddler and have been contemplating the pet decision, this just might seal the deal for you. ;)

I Am 1/2 Years Old
I can't believe 1/2 of a year has flown past and my little boy is already 6 months old! It is crazy! I absolutely love this stage right now, McKay is learning so much and doing so many fun and exciting things. He loves his hands and feet, playing with his toys, "peek-aboo" games, rolling over, eating new foods (unless they are green), and...my most favorite...deep-hearted giggles. He definately has me wrapped around his little fingers!

It's not a party until the cops show up...right?...
(this next one is my favorite photo of the night...)
For New Years Eve, a couple of the girls and I put together a last minute party at our community clubhouse. We had good food, Wii, Rock Band, games, a bouncy house for the kids-which Jeff and I inherited (thanks Jodie-it's THE greatest!), Martinelli's, and most importantly-lots of good company. All was splendid until the clubhouse alarm informed us of it's closing hour at 10:30pm, an hour and a half before the main event was to take place. After the local police crew showed up, some officer bribery, and an attempt to muffle the alarm with a baby blanket, we moved the party to the next destination and continued in our celebrations. Cheers to 2009!

Christmas In AZ
Christmas!
Presents!
Daddy & McKay
Mommy & McKay
Christmas morning.
Traditional "Christmas Poppers": Uncle Britt & McKay playing with their prize.
McKay played "Baby Jesus" in our Nativity Play.
The Nativity: "Mary" and "Baby Jesus".
This year we spent Christmas with my family in AZ. Games, cinnamon bears, "around the world" ping-pong, shopping, movies, the nativity play, my Mom's candied yams (yum!) and just hanging out-we had some good times. If only it could have lasted longer! Miss you and love you guys! and thank you EVERYONE for making it a GREAT Christmas!
