Trick or Treat

My BIL always carves the greatest pumkins!

Our little family.

At the ward 'trunk or treat'.

How cute is this little fireball dragon!

Yes, we upgraded! Costumes, that is. (thanks mom!) I just love little ones all dressed up. Aren't they just the cutest little things you've ever seen! This year we had our traditional Halloween night at Grams and Haha's. A delicious Mexican dinner, fun with family and friends, trick-or-treating with the cousins, lots of goodies, and way too much candy! By the end of the night, lots of excitement + a covered in vomit Dragon suit = one delirious McKay. Overall though, it was a great Halloween!

San Diego Zoo

Thank goodness for the trolley. The park is so enormous, there's no way we could have footed all of it in one day.

Hangin' over the rail, like a true kid.

We saw Gorillas...

Bears...

Giraffes...
{McKay's favorite. Pretty sure he recognized them b/c of the giant stuffed one at the Z Gallery store. I know, pathetic.}

Polar Bears...
{This guy was playing with a giant ball under the water the whole time. It looked like it was straight out of a commercial.}

Always so much fun with Ya ya!

I thought these orchids were so amazing. They were growing right out of these great big tree roots, in every which direction. I had no idea they could grow like that.

Sea Lion show, watching intently.

The Sky Lift, my personal favorite. ;)
{I know, lame pick. But one, African Safari's are totally mind-blowing & A-mazing! & two, I really did enjoy the Sky Lift!}

My Mom, little sis, and little brother came into town for a long weekend. We had so much fun, as always. It was a real treat to break up our everyday routine and get to do all of these fun things. The Zoo, shopping, eating out, movies, playmates, and great company! Can't beat that! Thanks Mom for all of the great fun! Btw, did you know that Koala's sleep for 22 hours/day! Crazy, right!?

What are you doing?

With all of the controversy going around about this H1N1 flu (swine flu) vaccination, it is so hard to know what to do as a parent. I've never worried about getting a flu shot for myself. I usually just skip the flu shot and still skip the flu all together, so why get it? But now that I've got somebody else to worry about rather than myself, I guess it makes me think twice about it. As parents, we all just want what's best for our kiddos. So, I'm curious...what are you all doing? Are you and your kids getting a flu shot and or the H1N1 flu shot?

Walk About

This guy has been practicing his walking for the last few months and has finally mastered the skills! Well, he may be a wee-bit wobbly still but, good enough that he's definitely a full-time walker. All of that crib practice (he's been practicing all by himself during nap-time...back and forth between his crib, laughing & cheering himself on, instead of sleeping) has paid off! It's been quite hilarious and entertaining to watch him on the baby monitor. He gets so excited, it's just the cutest thing you've ever seen! It's such an exciting moment to watch your child accomplish such a huge milestone. I just love this guy!

Halloween Preview

So, I bought this adorable little turtle costume from Costco almost a month ago. $9.99 and decently cute?! Can't beat that! I was so proud of myself for getting an early pick this year and not waiting until the typical last minute, 'get whatever you can find' kind of a deal. The costume is 18 months-36 months & M will be 15 months by the time Halloween rolls around. So I figured it's gotta fit, right? Might be a bit big considering it fits up to a 3 yr old. So, I got it home and here it is... What can I say? Apparently he's got a big head because the zipper goes all the way up to his chin. A 3 year old? Really? I get it, he's got a big head but...really, bigger than a 3 year old's? I still think it's adorable, zipper to chin or not. Now I'm debating on whether or not it looks too ridiculous to keep...because I really love it and I secretly want to keep it. But, do wish it fit a bit better. Maybe I'll just leave the hood down. Besides, who are we kidding, like he'll really keep the hood on anyhow.

Labor Day

(Just to explain here, we took M's shirt off b/c it was so hot.)

Labor Day was so much fun. We started the day out bright and early. Breakfast at the Panican, hiking up Torrey Pines Reserves, burritos at Robertos, strolling through the Design Dist., Thrifty's mint chip ice cream, checking out homes in Del Mar, relaxin w my boys. I love holidays!

Broken

Jeff was SO excited for Softball season this year. Literally, he was like an 8 year old kid the night before Christmas. So, the first game day we packed up the little fam and headed down to the field. All of us wives bring the kiddos to watch and support our men..and really more to just hang out, chat, get out of the house ;)...it's a lot of fun! Anyhow, Jeff plays 1st. Mid-game, a play is made, the ball is thrown to 1st, and just as Jeff catches it, the runner (keep in mind, this guy is big) plows through the air-or should I say Jeff, completely bending back Jeff's wrist until-snap! ..Apparently you could hear it from the Outfield. So, I guess you can say he took one for the team. What can I say, he's devoted. ;) Cast for six weeks, brace for six more, and unfortunately out for the season. But hey, it doesn't stop us from going to the games...like I said, devoted! :)

Summer time

Finally started getting some teeth! This pic is kinda crazy; but, you can kinda see the front one coming in here. Nine teeth in the last month and a half....and yes, it's been a little nutty around here. ;)

This boy is all about the snuggles...and it's my favorite!

Always up to tricks with Daddy.

Trip to AZ, with Gigi (my grandma) too. McKay always has so much fun, he loves being surrounded by family. So many people to entertain him!

Swim, swim. All day.

Lots of August Birthdays!

Ok mom, enough photos, get it over with already!

So, it's a been a while...remeber me? I decided to take a break from the blogging world, I've been busy. Then I felt I had so many thnigs to post, I became overwhelmed...and stopped posting all together. My bad. So, to all of my faithful readers (aka Mom), I am working on a few updates..finally! Like I said, we've been pretty busy around here, busy having FUN! Oh how I love the summer, is it really over? It went by so fast. Anyhow, here's the first of many catch-up posts to come! Here ya go, ...Mom! :)

A Girl Can Dream, Can't She?

Love it.

Love it.

Love it.
Love it.
Love it.

Ah, (sigh). If only I could rummage through my closet to find these beautiful, pretty things. Oh, so pretty (sigh). Lately I have been dreaming of going on a big shopping spree to freshen up my boring, old wardrobe in dyer need of an update. If only my budget would allow me to run away with you, JCrew (just one more time, sigh). I know we're in a recession and all, but a girl can still dream, can't she?
